Latest NBA Injury Report: Anthony Davis Goes Down Again with another Ankle Injury
The Lakers have been struggling so far this season even with all of their star players contributing on the court. Unfortunately, Anthony Davis went out again due to an injured ankle. In the game against the Utah Jazz (Feb 16, 2022), Davis went to catch pass mid-air but landed awkwardly on his right foot.
The landing caused his ankle to twist and by the looks of his face, it really looked extremely painful. Any player who experienced a twisted ankle knows the absolute pain that will inflict an athlete.

Anthony Davis had to be helped by his teammates to the locker room after the incident. Fortunately, after an X-Ray examination, the medical team found out that there was no serious damage to his ankles. Even so, he is still expected to miss two to four weeks for recovery.

He will be further evaluated via MRI to see if he has torn ligaments or an unknown fracture.
Davis, a 28-year-old Power Forward from the Lakers has been struggling with his nagging injuries this season. Being injured is not new to The Brow. His injuries kept haunting him ’til now and he is already being questioned for his durability, even at a very young age.
Anthony Davis’ injuries this season:
- Sprained Ankle (recently)
- Sore Knee
- Sore Wrist
- Groin Injury
- MCL sprain
Even though Davis is playing in and out of injury, he is still averaging 23.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks a game. He is still an all-star caliber player, but his durability and longevity might affect his play in the future. Take note that Davis is still 28 years old and is still in his Prime.
We have seen a lot of “What If” players in the past. The league and the fans hope that Davis does not become one of them.
