Avengers… Assemble! Marvel Studios revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2022 two new Avengers movies scheduled for 2025 release. This is also the first time that two Avengers movies are coming in the same year. Moreover, these two movies are part and the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase 6.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is the one who unveiled their plans for MCU Phase 6. However, he did not completely reveal everything. Feige only teases about the Avengers movies and the new Fantastic Four coming in the MCU as well.
Sneak Peak to MCU Phase 6
This phase would last from November 2024 to November 2025.
Fantastic Four (November 8, 2024)
Fantastic Four is coming to the MCU to start its Phase 6. The movie production begins next year and is directed by Jon Watts (director of the MCU Spiderman trilogy).
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (May 2, 2025)
6 years after Avengers: Endgame release, a new Avengers movie is about to come. Aside from the release date of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, there are no other details revealed from it. However, it is expected that the Avengers would be a new group of heroes after the original six (Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, and Hulk).
In addition to the title itself, the villain of this era would be Kang the Conquerer (Jonathan Majors). We first saw Kang in the Loki T.V series back in 2020.
Avengers: Secret Wars (November 7, 2025)
The two-part Avengers movie and Phase 6 end with Avengers: Secret Wars. There are no other details from this movie as well.
The Russo Brothers are not directing the next Avengers movies
We all know Joe and Anthony Russo directed several MCU movies including the mega box-office hits Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). However, it looks like they are not coming back to direct another Avengers movie after closing the Infinity Saga.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Feige confirmed that the Russo Brothers are not returning to direct. So it looks like Feige and his team are looking for a new director for both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
