Masamune-kun’s Revenge is finally ready for its comeback on TV screens. Earlier in April this year, the second season got announced. And now that the first promotion is released, the excitement is sure to boost up. Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 is set to release in the Spring of 2023.
On Friday, November 25, 2022, the official website of Masamune-kun’s Revenge” anime released its first trailer. The second season is titled “Masamune-kun’s Revenge R“. The trailer revealed new cast members and the opening song for this season.

Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2
Masamune-kun’s Revenge might look like a comedy, but once you’re into it, you’ll slowly realize the satire of comedy. The handsome protagonist, Masamune, worked his butt of to become a perfect person.
- And his quest for taking revenge on his bully is still incomplete, and now his mission will get carried over to Season 2 of the anime.
- In the last episode of Season 1, Aki went away to Paris, and Masamune planned to follow him there. Thus it ended with a promise of “Yay, we’ll be going to Paris soon.”

The above PV revealed the opening song “Please, Please!” which is performed by Ayaka Ohashi, who also voices Aki Adagaki in the anime. The two new characters revealed were
1. Muriel Besson: A beautiful French girl who Masamune and Aihime met during their school trip. She is an otaku who is interested in Japanese anime and manga, and she dreams of drawing a “heart-wrenching” romantic comedy one day.
- Miku Ito (Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets) is voicing her.
2. Frank Besson: A Frenchman who works in the underworld and Muriel’s older brother. He is a serious siscon who never forgives anyone who makes her sister cry. He seems to be treating Masamune and his friends with a cold attitude.
- Yasuyuki Kase (Kankuro in the Naruto series) is voicing him.

Many of the viewers were unsatisfied with the ending since the theme of the entire series, revenge, was never enacted. I really expected more rivalry and backtalk from the anime, however, t never came. Will Season 2 be at last given what we’ve all held up to?

- The series revolves around Masamune, a guy who used to be chubby and after getting bullied by Aki Adagaki, he decided to transform himself.

- Thus, Masamune swears that he will make Aki fall in love with him and then reject her so that he can take revenge.
