The long wait is over! Minecraft: The Wild Update is finally on its way! Whether you dive down the darkest of places or sail your boats on vast wetlands, Minecraft is putting all things together for you. With the latest update, we shall see what’s in store for everyone inside the game.
What’s new?
To welcome the arrival of Minecraft: The Wild Update, the game will be featuring three new additions – New Biomes, Mobs, and Blocks. So strap in and set your sails as we journey through the newest additions in Minecraft: The Wild Update!
Three New Biomes
- The Deep Dark Biome
- The Mangrove Swamp Biome
The Deep Dark Biome
Hidden beneath the depths of Minecraft lies the creepy Deep Dark biome. Deep, dark, and full of unwanted creatures. Well, it’s basically a place for thrill-seekers who love the sight of monsters. Subsequently, this biome is home to a mob called “The Warden“, which we will be talking about later in this article. Additionally, you can also mine some Sculk Blocks which can only be found in this God-forbidden place.
To find it, just follow the instructions below:
- First, find a cave that will lead you to any place below zero altitude
- Then, dig your way down (deeper and deeper!). This biome is eerily quiet. And if you’re not careful, you might accidentally activate a “Shrieker”.
- For an easier way to find this biome, type the command “/locatebiome minecraft:deep_dark” in the chatbox to locate the nearest Deep Dark biome.
The Mangrove Swamp Biome
Guess what this biome consists mainly of – Mangroves! As the name suggests, this biome dwells well within the vicinity of tall and mushy Mangrove trees. Though it’s not as tantalizing as other biomes in the game, it’s definitely safer than the Deep Dark biome.
What can I find in The Mangrove Swamp biome?
Alongside a new Wood, a new block will also be birthed in this biome called the Mud Block. You can craft this block by just using two of the most basic things on earth: Dirt and Water.

Three Additional Mobs
- The Warden
- The Allay
- The Frog
The Warden
Ooof, scary but terrifyingly amazing! If you’re looking to challenge the master of the underworld, it’s time for you to meet The Warden. This mob resides in the new biome, the Deep Dark. In there, you will see a dark creature lurking beneath the shadows, searching for a lost soul. Hey, he’s just doing his job, cut the guy some slack!
The Allay
Ughhh, aren’t they cute? The Allay was added to the game because it was voted in last year’s Minecraft Live. This cute blue flying mob is out here to help you in your adventures. Keep an eye on him because he can definitely be of great service!
The Frog
Look, mom, frogs! Everyone has been waiting for this mob to come, and now, it’s here. The Frog is an adorable creature that can make scintillating Froglight Blocks in an instant.
What are Froglight Blocks?
Froglight Blocks are shiny and shimmering blocks that light up during nighttime. To create a Froglight block, all you have to do is feed the Frog with a Magma Cube. Sounds a bit crazy, but it’s the only way to make one.
