Moon Knight: Release Date, Actors, and More – All Details

BY John Micheal Agustin 4 years AGO 3 MIN READ

Marvel cinematic universe continues to surprise its fans as the premiered superhero comic franchise introduces its newest character, Moon Knight.

Moon Knight is like the Batman equivalent of MCU, but there’s a lot more to him than just being a vigilante who lures at night. Moon Knight rose to stardom when the Egyptian moon God resurrected him (Steven Grant). With that being said, he harnesses power from the moon and is stronger at night. Also, this caped crusader is kind of an obscure hero as he suffers from what looks to be a Dissociative Identity Disorder (D.I.D.).

When will Moon Knight be released?

It will debut in a 6-episode TV show on Disney+ on Wednesday (March 30, 2022).

Below is the schedule of episodes for Moon Knight:

  1. 1st Episode – March 30, 2022
  2. 2nd Episode – April 6, 2022
  3. 3rd Episode – April 13, 2022
  4. 4th Episode – April 20, 2022
  5. 5th Episode – April 27, 2022
  6. 6th Episode – May 4, 2022

Oscar Isaac will portray the titular character in this series. Isaac, who had just got off from the hit sci-fi movie, Dune, will hit the road again as a Marvel superhero. The award-winning actor will also uncover the dark nature of Moon Knight and the man (or men) behind the mask.

Another award-winning actor, Ethan Hawke, will be playing Arthur Harrow. Harrow is the supposed antagonist of the story and will be Moon Knight’s nemesis. He is a mysterious cult leader associated with the god Ammit, who is said to have represented the worst fears of the ancient Egyptian people.

  • May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly

Calamawy was part of a hit 2019 US comedy-drama, Ramy. Now, she will take part in the Moon Knight and will act as Layla El-Faouly, who is also part of Marc Spector’s past and could also be the Moon Knight’s love interest.

  • Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart a.k.a. Midnight Man

The late Gaspard Ulliel’s final act will be as a minor villain in the Moon Knight series, Midnight Man. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old actor passed away due to a skiing accident in January and will not be part of the premiere. Though Ulliel is gone, the show will continue to show Midnight Man as part of the story.

  • F Murray Abraham as Khonshu

F Murray Abraham is a veteran actor who started his career back in the ’70s. Abraham will portray Khonshu, an ancient Egyptian god of the moon, who grants Marc Spector his superhuman abilities and uses him as an avatar on the mortal plane.

The Future of Marvel Street-Level Heroes

With Moon Knight’s debut, this could only mean that Marvel could be opening a team-up with all of its street-level heroes like Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and more.
