Only less than a month left before the 2022-2023 season ends and everyone is anxious about who will get in the three All-NBA teams. Every year, a group of NBA stars will be selected for one of the finest teams in the league – an All-NBA team. Amongst a lot of athletes to choose from, only a handful of the best, the most talented, and the most skilled will be picked. With guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid playing their best out there each night, it will be very difficult to place them into these teams. But, without further ado, let’s find out which players could possibly be included in these seasons’ All-NBA teams.
All-NBA 1st Team
- Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers)
- Luka Doncic, Guard (Dallas Mavericks)
- Jayson Tatum, Forward (Boston Celtics)
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Forward (Milwaukee Bucks)
- Nikola Jokic, Center (Denver Nuggets)
The hardest choice to make in the All-NBA first team is who gets the nod in the center position. Should it be Nikola Jokic over Joel Embiid, or is it the other way around? If only this team is positionless, Jokic and Embiid could co-exist. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be the case.
On the other hand, Damian Lillard is on a scoring rampage and revamped his superstar status. Luka, well, is still Luka Magic. The golden boy of the Dallas Mavericks continues to surprise everyone. Taking Antetokounmpo is already a no-brainer, hence why the greek freak is in the first team.

All-NBA 2nd Team
- Steph Curry, Guard (Golden State Warriors)
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Guard (Memphis Grizzlies)
- Kevin Durant, Forward (Phoenix Suns)
- Domantas Sabonis, Forward (Sacramento Kings)
- Joel Embiid, Center (Philadelphia 76ers)
Two of the five players here are currently injured (Curry and Durant). However, these two are basically All-NBA worthy when healthy. Steph is averaging almost 30 points and has been a monster since the All-Star break. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant is still an automatic bucket. The only issue they have is the number of games they’ve played this season, which is a bit low.
As mentioned, it’s hard to choose between Embiid and Jokic in the center position. But, since we took the Joker in the first team, Embiid gets the nod for the second team. Alongside JoJo is Domantas Sabonis, who led the Sacramento Kings to the 2nd seed in the West. He and De’Aaron Fox are pushing the Kings to their very first playoff appearance since 2006. And, finally, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. SGA may become the scoring champion this year with his 31.4 ppg.

All-NBA 3rd Team
- Kyrie Irving, Guard (Dallas Mavericks)
- Donovan Mitchell, Guard (Cleveland Cavaliers)
- LeBron James, Forward (Los Angeles Lakers)
- Lauri Markkanen, Forward (Utah Jazz)
- Bam Adebayo, Center (Miami Heat)
Many would argue that De’Aaron Fox is better than Kyrie Irving this season. Well, that could be true, however, stat-wise, uncle drew is still one of the best point guards in the league. Donovan Mitchell and Lauri Markkanen both have found a home in their new teams. Mitchell is undeniably a superstar while Markkanen is making his breakout year with the Jazz this season.
Of course, LeBron James will still be in the All-NBA. Although it’s just a third team, he would definitely get in. The King is averaging the same numbers as his MVP year, so that means he is still in the top 10 best players today. In the center position, it’s plausible that Bam Adebayo will be chosen. He is a consistent contributor and the defensive anchor of the Miami Heat which makes him a great choice.

Take note that all of these are only predictions. While some of these picks are justifiable, there could be some that might stir questions and doubts from NBA fans.
Players like De’Aaron Fox, Ja Morant, James Harden, Jaylen Brown, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard all played well this season and are just some of the most notable names that can still make a case for the All-NBA teams. But, with Ja Morant’s allegations and controversies, it would be hard for him to get votes.
