One of the most popular streaming apps today, Netflix, has been improving its services with the addition of Netflix Games just four months ago.
This game library is incorporated into the app to attract more subscribers as well as entertain their existing ones. So far, Netflix has already released a total of 16 games, two of which are Stranger Things titles and others are versions of some popular games.
Just recently, the company had just acquired Boss Fight Entertainment.
Boss Fight is a studio known for mobile games which were founded back in 2013. One of their famous creations is the game Dungeon Boss.
“Since we launched mobile games to our members around the world just four months ago, we’ve been expanding our games catalog bit by bit as we build out our in-house creative development team. So today, we’re excited to announce that Boss Fight Entertainment is joining Netflix.” – A statement from Amir Rahimi, the company’s vice president of game studios.
Boss Fight Entertainment is the third studio that will be joining Netflix Games. The other two studios acquired by Netflix are Night School (known for Oxenfree) and Next Games.
Boss Fight, which is based in Texas (Allen and Austin), will continue to operate there. They will also continue operating in their Seattle branch.
Netflix Games is planning to add more games in the future. The reason behind this is to enhance the value of entertainment and fun. To add, a new game called Into the Dead 2: Unleashed is already on its way to the library. Into the Dead 2 is a first-person zombie shooting game. Here, you will play as a survivor during a zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately, there is no exact date yet but it’s more likely to be available soon.
