The weekend is again over (sigh), and many may have probably watched Netflix’s new offering, Reptile. Led by the great Puerto Rican actor-director Benicio Del Toro, viewers have high expectations for this film. So, what happened at the end of the movie? Is this new film worth watching? Read on!
Netflix Reptile Ending Explained
Warning: Major spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.
Reptile tells the story of detective Tom Nichols (Del Toro), who’s investigating the murder of the real estate agent Summer (Matilda Lutz), the girlfriend of Will Grady (Justin Timberlake). But instead of finding the suspect, Tom discovers a huge criminal conspiracy that threatens to destroy everything he cares about.
As the investigation continues, Tom and his partner, Cleary (Ato Essandoh), have a list of persons of interest, including the boyfriend, Will. Tom eventually learns that Summer is killed, so she can never speak up about the controversy surrounding his police department. This makes him torn between unearthing the truth that will destroy his family and keeping his mouth shut, which will let the offenders continue their wrongdoings.
Just watched Reptile with Benicio Del Toro. Great thriller that caught me off guard. I gotta say though Benicio is channeling some serious, brooding pensive energy of Edward James Olmos/Lt Castillo on Miami Vice…

Of course, he chooses the former by telling his chief, Marty Graeber (Mike Pniewski), about the conspiracy among the crooked cops without knowing he’s involved. As his wife’s uncle, Robert Allen (Eric Bogosian), tells him to leave after giving the evidence to the wrong hands, a shootout begins, leaving Allen and Graeber dead and even Wally (Domenick Lombardozzi) badly injured.
Tom also discovers Will plays a major role in Summer’s death, as the suspect and his mom (Frances Fisher) are revealed to be both working with the police. But despite his efforts to conceal his crimes, the film ends with the feds coming to arrest Will during his golf session.
Is Reptile Worth Watching?
Released on September 29 on Netflix, Reptile is now making a noise for featuring some of today’s greatest actors. Aside from Del Toro, it also features Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone, to name a few. These three have delivered outstanding acting, making the movie a must-watch.
But aside from its ensemble cast, the film is now one of the most-watched titles on the streamer and is even being recommended by a lot of viewers, thanks to Del Toro’s stellar acting. Sure, the film is receiving mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but it cannot be denied that the 56-year-old actor’s performance is a must-see.
If you’re into slow burn, crime dramas, Reptile on Netflix is definitely worth checking out.

Well, he wouldn’t be dubbed one of today’s greatest actors for nothing. And by the looks of it, he has once again proven his acting chops in the movie.

Reptiles are known for being cold-blooded vertebrates that have scales as their skin. These creatures can adapt to their environment, just like the crooked cops in the film feature. No one knows that Allen, Wally, and Graeber are involved in a huge conspiracy in town until Tom sheds their skin, unveiling their true colors.
Interesting, right? This is just one of the many good, mysterious features fans are about to see in Reptile. In fact, there can see several other surprising discoveries viewers can witness when they watch it on Netflix. The film is now available to stream.
