Netflix also shared the plot summary for the upcoming season
Aside from the official announcement, the show’s official Twitter account revealed the plot summary for this season.
As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Centra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.
Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.
When is The Witcher Season 3 coming out?
There are no announcements related to a possible release date for The Witcher Season 3. But with COVID-19 still fairly present, it’s likely they won’t give a release date until they’re halfway through shooting.
If you have been watching The Witcher on Netflix since its first season, it took a while for the second season to come out. This is because production repeatedly got delayed due to COVID-19.
Nonetheless, we’ll keep you posted if ever there is a possible release date in the talks for The Witcher Season 3.
