- She had already spoken about how her character will have lesser presence in the upcoming fourth season. Now, her departure would mean more new characters would come and go.
- Furthermore, Emma Mackey spoke about how the actors are all nearing their thirties and yet they still play high school teenagers on the show. For this reason and more, Mackey believes her time is up on the Netflix show.
Who will replace her?
It’s too soon to speculate as to who will be replacing Emma Mackey on Sex Education. Given her reasons to leave the show, it is confirmed that Maeve Wiley will not be recast with any other actor.
