Party Animals is the latest craze in physics-based multiplayer party games. Having just been released on September 20, 2023, many gamers and streamers have shown their love for the game by spending hours upon hours trying to be the last man standing. Even before its release, many players have shown enthusiasm for Party Animals, making it one of the most wishlisted titles on Steam this year. With all the hype surrounding Party Animals, other gamers wonder if it will have a release on platforms like the PS5. Keep reading to find out more.
Will Party Animals get a PS5 release?
After its successful release, gamers on the PC and Xbox Series X|S are having the time of their lives with Party Animals. Unfortunately for PlayStation users, this is a game they might have to miss out on. Party Animals is only available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The possibility of the game releasing on the PS4 or PS5 is slim as there have been no further updates from the devs themselves.

However, based on the game’s popularity, they might consider releasing it on the PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch as soon as possible.
Will Party Animals support cross-platform play?
Some things we want in a PlayStation or Switch port are crossplay functionalities and more improvements to co-op play. Right now, Party Animals supports crossplay between Xbox consoles and PCs. If a Switch or PlayStation version comes out, we hope it allows us to still play with gamers on the PC or Xbox.

Gameplay Explained
Party Animals features different modes you can enjoy with up to seven other players. There are currently three modes available in the game:
- Last Stand
- Team Score
- Arcade
Your ultimate goal depends on whatever game mode you choose to play.
Last Stand
In the Last Stand, your goal is to knock other players out of the map in Party Animals. To achieve this, you are allowed to use whatever weapon you want. If you want to do it old school, you can also use melee attacks on your opponents.
Team Score
From the name itself, your goal in Team Score is to work together in order to clear the map. Each map also features its own mini-game, so matches played in the Team Score mode may take longer to complete.
Arcade
The last mode in Party Animals is Arcade. Compared to the previous two modes, Arcade only has two maps available to play on. Arcade matches are essentially a deathmatch mode with two teams of four fighting against each other. The last team to have at least one life is declared the winner.
Party Animals is now available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Fingers crossed that the game will soon be released on the PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Let us know what you think about the game in the comments below!
