PlayStation Acquires Valkyrie Entertainment

If you thought 2021 was a lackluster year for new releases, wait until 2022. Indeed, numerous projects are in the works for the coming year, which is rapidly approaching. Just recently, Sony and PlayStation started acquiring new studios to work on their video game development.

The PlayStation Studios are growing in size, including projects that have resulted in some fantastic games. This shows that they aspire to make increasingly complicated video games, aided by new graphics and cutting-edge technologies developed as a result of multiple collaborative initiatives.

PlayStation x Valkyrie Entertainment

  • Valkyrie Entertainment, a well-known studio that has been collaborating on the development of video games for years, has been welcomed into the PlayStation Studios family.
  • GUNS UP! was the sole title on which the studio developed alone. For the remainder, Valkyrie Entertainment’s contribution was critical in the development of God of War and Forza Motorsport. In addition, the firm has worked on a number of Riot Games titles.

Valkyrie Entertainment has a wealth of experience and is able to work on products for a variety of platforms, including PlayStation and PC. The studio will serve as a kind of secret weapon for all of PlayStation Studios’ internal studios, allowing them to work on many projects at the same time.

However, the team is now working on three triple-A titles. Unfortunately, two of the games are still obscure, but one of them is well-known: Valkyrie has contributed to God of War Ragnarok. In reality, the company is actively involved in the production of a new game featuring Kratos as the protagonist, therefore there are great hopes for the game’s quality.
