There are two ways to get the Snorlax’s pre-evolutionary Munchlax in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. You can either engage and battle with it in the Obsidian Fieldlands or capture the roaming Alpha Munchlax.

Where to Find Munchlax in Pokemon Legends Arceus
When confronted with Munchlax, most players will be convinced to capture one. Unfortunately, finding Munchlax isn’t as simple as you may think. In fact, they’re quite rare. 🤔
- The Obsidian Fieldlands near Deertrack Heights is the first place you should look for Munchlax. To reach Deertrack Heights the quickest route is to fly to Height Camps and then proceed east till you reach it.
- The next place to look for Munchlax is Alabaster Icelands, located south of the Snowfall Hot Spring. You may also employ methods to speed up the spawn rates of Pokemon, including Munchlax.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because Munchlax is prone to fleeing if surprised, try to be on the lookout for it. You may also use a widespread outbreak to increase their chances of obtaining it.
Best Spots to Find Munchlax
- In order to get a Munchlax as soon as possible, we recommend concentrating on Deertrack Heights, particularly the western portion bordering Deertrack Path and Windswept Run.
- Although this area may or may not be the most rewarding in your search. There’s a good chance you’ll come across a Munchlax when Kricketune, Starly, and Geodude are out and about.
On the other hand, Alabaster Icelands host a higher-leveled Munchlax. Players report catching Levels 6-10. So if you want to catch a higher level Muchlax, this area is your go-to.
Warden Mai, who appears early in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, dares you to a fight.
She just owns one Pokemon, Munchlax, but this small creature is fierce, something that won’t give a surprise given that the Pokemon develops into the giant known as Snorlax.
