Furniture store Cellutane is selling Pokemon Slowpoke sofas for fans that prefer a more slow pace of life. It is officially named “Yadon Bead Sofa” (Slowpoke’s Japanese name). It sits one grown-up and the cost is ¥28,400 yen (~$200).
For fans who enjoy the iconic look and features of Slowpoke, this is a must-buy for your home.

Where to buy Slowpoke Sofa?
This new Pokemon joins the line of beanbag chairs sold by the Japanese furniture store Cellutane. Slowpoke, the plushy pink plumpitude, joins his pals, Gengar, Rowlett, Snorlax and Ditto. Just to make a cute, not-very-grown-up (but who cares) suite of seats.
You can directly buy the Slowpoke sofa through the official website of Cellutane or other online retailers like Rakuten. Unfortunately, it is only available to the citizens of Japan, and not any other country.
More Details about the Slowpoke Sofa
In case you are already thinking of buying it, you should consider a couple of things.
- The sofa is 92 x 101 x 72 cm and weighs approximately 8.75 kg (about 20 lbs). With a machine washable cover, it’s easy to keep clean as well.
- The backrest prominently displays Slowpoke’s face with ear-shaped projections along the top. The back of the couch also sprout’s Slowpoke’s distinctive tail.
- It is filled with polystyrene beads and polyester fabric and will cost you 28,400 yen (around $201 USD).
- As mentioned above, Cellutane website doesn’t offer overseas delivery. However, you can use alternatives like Danke Box. (NOTE: If you are on a remote island in Japan or Okinawa, they won’t accept your order.)
- The beanbag will require some assembly after delivery. You’ll have to put the beans in the bag yourself.
When will the company ship the sofas internationally?
Sadly, there is no information if Cellutane will ship the Pokemon Slowpoke sofa internationally. Fans might need to hang tight for The Pokemon Company to offer the items outside of Japan. Or just go through a proxy shipping service to get your hands on the sofa.
Hopefully, the Pokemon Fanbase will let The Pokemon Company know about their demand with their interest for the Slowpoke-themed soft-bead sofa. And wait for the company to bring more of its official products to other countries.

Besides the Slowpoke Sofa, it is worth mentioning that Cellutane has released Ditto, Snorlax, Gengar, and Rowlet sofas too. All are roughly the same height and suited to use with Cellutane’s Poke-ball-themed Ottoman cushions (sold separately).
Just like Slowpoke, all cost ¥28,400 (about $200). And the Pokeball cushions cost around 10,901 Yen (about $78 USD).

The pokemon is such a prominent figure in the Japanese region, that it has once taken the prefecture’s official ambassadorial Pokemon. (It happened back on April 1st, 2018. Yes, on April fool’s day and later, the roles had fallen back into human hands.)
