Who is Jacksepticeye?

Sean William McLoughlin, better known as Jacksepticeye, is an Irish YouTuber who was born in Ballycumber, County Offaly, the Republic of Ireland on February 7, 1990.

He is most known for his Lets Play series and comedic vlogs. His success on YouTube helped establish him as one of Ireland’s most well-known YouTubers. In fact, it is Ireland’s most popular channel, with more than 28 million subscribers.

Here are some fun facts about Jacksepticeye you may not have known.

According to Gameboy Review, Jacksepticeye wasn’t simply a channel moniker for this YouTuber; he’d always gone by the nickname. When he was younger, his mother constantly referred to him as Jack, despite the fact that his full name is Sean. His friends then also began to refer to him as “Jack”. (It’s worth noting that Jack is a popular nickname for Sean, in Ireland)
JacksepticeyeOn one occasion, he was playing goalkeeper in a game of soccer. Sean was left with a big, nasty cut after a player headed the ball and accidentally hit him in the eye. Thus, he came to be known as Jack Septic Eye, and then ultimately, as Jacksepticeye.

Raised to the Ground

In addition to being a YouTuber, Jacksepticeyes has also had a brief stint in the music industry. He played drums for Raised to the Ground, an indie metalcore band.

Risen from the Ashes was the band’s lone release in 2009. Aside from playing the drums for fun, he has not sought a career in music.

As a YouTube sensation, Jacksepticeye was approached by video game developers to voice characters in their titles.

The first of these was Bendy and the Ink Machine, a 2017 video game in which he portrayed Shawn Flynn. After that, he voiced two characters in the video game Pinstripe, which came out in 2017. He played both Jack and Drunk Man 2.

Jackseptic’s net worth is currently believed to be $16 million.

Almost all of this money came from his YouTube channel. He is the 8th highest-paid YouTube personality, bringing home an estimated $300,000 each month from his channel.  His videos have accumulated over 10 billion views.

Aside from his well-known horror video game series, Jacksepticeye is also famous for his philanthropic works. He’s constantly pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of generating money.

Rather than relying on the more traditional methods of fundraising such as mailing out letters, flyers, and making phone calls, Jacksepticeye uses live stream fundraisers to great effect. According to Business Insider, he’s one of YouTube’s most generous donors, and we have to agree.
