Fans of the indie horror Poppy Playtime have been closely following the official teasers to speculate what lies in store for them in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. Many of them have come up with interesting theories for the upcoming installment of the game. At the same time, there are some talented animators within the community who have brought these theories and ideas to life through their works. Today, we will look at some fan-made trailers that reveal what the big bad purple monster from Poppy Playtime Chapter 3: Deep Sleep could look like.
Fan-Made Purple Monster Reveal Trailers for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3
Trailer 1
The first trailer does not showcase the actual appearance of the purple monster but gives us an idea of what it could resemble. The video displays a cardboard cutout we often encounter while playing Poppy Playtime.
- On the cutout, we can see a friendly-looking purple colored bunny with a tie around his neck. This represents what the monster’s toy version was supposed to be like.
- Looking at the walls, we get a glimpse of the drawings made by the children containing the monster’s scribbled figure.
- We then hear a voiceover in the background that says the following with a chuckle- “What’s the time? Time for sleep.” It continues by saying, “Rejoice in the hour of joy, for the time for sleep is near.” This clearly references the mysterious message we see in the official reveal poster.
- The last voice line says, “Why are you watching me like that? Do I look so Scary?” Immediately after this, a door opens up where we see the creature standing in the dark. The video ends with a jump scare.
Trailer 2
The second video is not a trailer but a part of a fan-made Poppy Playtime series. We recommend you watch the ongoing series featuring Huggy Wuggy and the Purple Monster from the YouTube channel called Cave Game.
- The monster also has its legs made out of metal. This could be a modification which was a part of the experiment. This feature might enable him to traverse with a faster speed than usual.
- The character design in the video looks quite similar to the silhouette or the shadowy figure shown in the official trailers. Even though it is fan made, the representation of the monster is spot on.
