PS3 PSN Now Back To Normal After 8002A537 Error

BY JC Paredes 5 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Fans are concerned about the unresolved PS3 error 8002A537. Sony’s silence on the subject has PS3 users wondering if the company finally decided to pull the plug on the PS3.

Since the initial release of PlayStation 5, it was clear to all that Sony will be focusing most of its resources and attention on the new generation console. This is unsurprising, as many old PlayStation users opt to buy newer models to keep up with the latest games.

A report was published last March 2021 about Sony’s decision to close the PS Store for the PS3, Vita, and the PS Portable. This meant that the users of the indicated devices can no longer purchase new games.

However, Jim Ryan (President & CEO) retracted this decision in April 2021, citing that they “made the wrong decision”. This was largely due to the fact that many fans voiced their disappointment.

Several Twitter users claimed that they talked to Sony’s customer support and were advised that “PSN is no longer supported on the PS3”. There is no way to confirm this statement as of the moment.
