PS4 Will Host An Exclusive Fortnite Tournament
Fortnite has astonished us these days with an incredible new end-of-season 9 event. During which we could admire the Polar Peak monster which, in perfect Kaiju style, battled with the robot. If you missed the fight, you can see it at this address. Now, however, it’s time to look ahead and think about upcoming big events coming up, like the World Cup. However, this is not the only tournament that Epic Games has in store for us.
As stated by Nathan Mooney, Epic Games community manager, a tournament dedicated exclusively to PS4 players will arrive. This will be after the end of the Fortnite World Cup. This is not an incredible novelty since a similar event dedicated to Xbox One had already been announced.
For now, there are no details on the Fortnite PS4 tournament, but it is highly probable that it follows the structure of the Xbox One, open to the best 1500 players who will fight for a prize pool of one million dollars. The whole thing will probably be revealed over the next few weeks.
Tell us, what do you think of these tournaments dedicated to consoles? Are you interested, or do you think they are just starters for real events like the World Cup?
