Red Dead Redemption 2 Wins Best Technology Award At GDC 2019
Honouring the best games of 2018, the Game Developers Choice Awards announced Red Dead Redemption 2 as the winner for Best Technology at GDC 2019.
In the category, there were a total of five games including Red Dead Redemption 2 with five honourable mentions. Amongst Marvel’s Spider-Man, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Forza Horizon 4, God of War and itself, Red Dead Redemption 2 emerged as the winner for the GDCA award for Best Technology.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was nominated for a total of seven categories, namely, Best Audio, Best Design, Innovation, Best Narrative, Best Technology, Best Visual Art and the ultimate award, Game of the Year. As of now, the game has managed to grab only the Best Technology award as other deserving games have won over the other five awards. Game of the Year award, however, is yet to be announced.
