Resident Evil 7 publisher expects to sell 4 million copies at launch
Resident Evil 7 releases on January 24, and Capcom has already set a target to sell 4 million
This year, PlayStation VR and Resident Evil 7 demo teamed up together to give players goosebumps. RE7 is a twist in the history of Resident Evil games, and Capcom is already tight at business.
According to Capcom’s recent earning report, the company expects the game to sell around 4 million copies at it’s launch. This time with the use of digital distribution, Capcom’s revenue won’t be limited to the next two fiscal years but into the long term as well.
If we talk about the previous RE game i.e. Resident Evil 6, the game sold 4.8 million copies in just 3 months.
Demanding for a number like 4 million is certainly low, but that’s totally fine until they get greedy, and jump for a bigger number. Resident Evil 7 is due on January 24, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
