Rumor has it that Hi-Fi Rush is coming to PS5
Recent reports suggest that Hi-Fi Rush, the highly regarded rhythm-action game of 2023, may soon be available on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
A Surprise Success
In January 2023, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks announced the PC and Xbox versions of their game, Hi-Fi Rush, with a unique “shadow drop” promotion.
The game received positive reviews from critics and gained popularity despite its unusual release. Its vibrant cel-shaded visuals, accurate rhythm-based gameplay, and catchy soundtrack drew in a lot of players.
Hi-Fi Rush coming to PS5 and Switch?
On February 1st, 2024, rumors surfaced about a possible PS5 and Switch port. The rumors stem from the updates commemorating the game’s anniversary, which allegedly included hidden assets that alluded to future console versions.
With the upgrade came the release of new in-game t-shirts, some including logos for popular gaming platforms like Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games.
I can confirm that the Hi-Fi Rush datamine is legit and these t-shirt texture files are in the game. It looks like Hi-Fi Rush is coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch https://t.co/hy6BUjOV4Z pic.twitter.com/WjgPk2bIqH

However, two additional t-shirts caught everyone’s attention: one was red and said “Rockout! Anywhere!” maybe alluding to the Switch, while the other was blue and read “I’m here, baby!” likely referencing to the PlayStation.
No official announcement yet
While this is exciting, remember that there has been no official confirmation. Regarding a port, neither Tango Gameworks nor Bethesda have released any information as well. But given the time of the update and the unique t-shirt design, there’s a chance this is more likely than not.
What Now?
The gaming community awaits further developments with anticipation. With its existing popularity and potential audience expansion on new platforms, a PlayStation and Switch release for Hi-Fi Rush could be a massive success.
