All attention is focused on the upcoming release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, set to launch on PS5 next month. The game will be exclusively available on PS5 for approximately three months, as revealed by Sony and Square Enix during a show in September 2023.
Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth Exact Release Date
Final Fantasy 7 will be released on February 29, 2024. However, it’s only available on PS5 (3 months) and most probably be available on PC afterward. This setup is similar to what they did with the last game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which initially launched on PlayStation 4 and later became available on PS5 and PC.
What About Xbox
Xbox fans are eagerly awaiting official updates, and there’s a suggestion from Xbox executive Phil Spencer that both Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the PS5 exclusive Final Fantasy 16 might eventually make their way to Xbox. Notably, reliable leaker NateDrake adds that while there’s a possibility of these games landing on other platforms in the future, Square Enix isn’t actively planning such a move at the moment.
