Ahsoka is the latest installment of the Star Wars television shows known as the MandoVerse and although the series spun a little story of its own, it was also connected to the main series. In addition to that, it might also have a connection to the next major Star Wars show on Disney+. There are many clues teasing the connection between Ahsoka and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
Many Star Wars fans believe that Skeleton Crew is the next Star Wars series that will be broadcast on Disney+ despite the lack of updates from Lucasfilm. Still, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about the new adventure which will focus on unlikely heroes who have not yet been introduced in the Star Wars Universe. But are these new characters actually connected to the faces we already know and love?
What is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew?
Skeleton Crew is an upcoming series set within the Star Wars universe. Created for Disney+ by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, the new show will take place in the same era as The Mandalorian and its associated spin-off shows.
- At its core, Skeleton Crew will be a captivating coming-of-age tale that explores the lives of young characters in the post-Return of the Jedi universe.
- It will star Jude Law as a Jedi who encounters a group of children who find themselves lost in a different galaxy.
A copyright filing for Skeleton Crew confirmed the main cast including Law and his four young co-stars in the new show. Moreover, the synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars show teased a connection to Ahsoka.
Skeleton Crew Might Take Place in Peridea
The synopsis for Skeleton Crew confirms that the group of children end up in “a strange and dangerous galaxy”. Although this suggests the introduction of a new galaxy into the Star Wars lore, several fans believe it is actually referring to Peridea, which was first featured in the Season 1 of Ahsoka.

Peridea certainly fits the description for the galaxy in the Skeleton Crew synopsis and it would present a huge convenience for Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, and Huyang.
- There is a possibility that if they help the children leave Peridea, they will also find a way to leave the galaxy and reunite with the rest of the crew in their own galaxy.
- Or could another young character actually make a connection with the cast of Skeleton Crew?
- There are speculations that an Ahsoka character will find the kids instead.
Jacen Syndulla Finally Gets To Play
One of the best things in Ahsoka was the live-action debut of Jacen Syndulla, the son of Hera Syndulla and the late Jedi Kanan Jarrus. The series already confirmed the boy, who was introduced in Star Wars Rebels, is Force-sensitive and played a major role in the search for Ahsoka in Seatos. Could he also be the one who senses the lost children in Skeleton Crew?
The idea of Jacen meeting the Skeleton Crew kids is a great one since it teases the future beyond the current shows. It also gives him the chance to hang out with people his own age which could mean more adventures for these characters beyond the series. Interestingly, Jacen isn’t the only Ahsoka character who could show up in Skeleton Crew.
Will Skeleton Crew Feature Ahsoka Characters?
If there is one character who ties the MandoVerse together, it would be Captain Carson Teva. The character, who is played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, first showed up in The Mandalorian before reprising his role in The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. With that in mind, there is a chance that Teva will make an appearance in Skeleton Crew.
Although it seems far-fetched, there is a way to integrate Teva into the Skeleton Crew‘s storyline. He could be out recruiting more pilots for the New Republic when he accidentally encounters the children. Either way, fans are looking forward to seeing more of Teva in the next Star Wars series.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will consist of eight episodes and is set to premiere on Disney+ in January 2024. Ahsoka Season 2 has not yet been officially announced but the renewal is expected to be announced before the end of the year.
