The next Star Wars show on Disney+ finally got an update. New details about Star Wars: Skeleton Crew have finally been revealed, confirming five of the upcoming show’s major players. In addition to that, the synopsis teases what could happen on our next trip to the Star Wars Universe. Interestingly, it also offers a potential connection to the recently concluded Ahsoka.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was first announced during the Star Wars Celebration in May 2022. However, the announcement did not reveal many details other than Jude Law’s involvement in the project. Luckily, a new update confirms Law’s role as well as four of his young co-stars in the upcoming series.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Confirms Main Cast
An official copyright listing for Skeleton Crew confirms Jude Law as the lead actor of the upcoming Star Wars series. The Fantastic Beast: The Secrets of Dumbledore is expected to play a Jedi who finds himself in the company of talented children. While Law doesn’t need an introduction, his four young co-stars are understandably fresh faces who are expected to become huge stars after the show’s premiere.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong has been making waves in the entertainment industry with a string of remarkable roles under her belt. From portraying Brooke Briggs in The Old Way to taking on the character of Charlie McGee in Firestarter and even showcasing her talent as Alma Gardner in six episodes of American Horror Story, she’s been a rising star. In addition to Skeleton Crew, Armstrong is set to grace the screen in the upcoming film Maternal.
On the other hand, Robert Timothy Smith may have a shorter list of credits, but he’s still made a name for himself with appearances in shows like Mythic Quest, Good Girls, and Tosh.0. He’ll also be seen in Dear Santa; a heartwarming film centered around a child who accidentally sends his Christmas card to Jack Black‘s Satan instead of Santa Claus.

Ravi Cabot-Conyers is known for lending his voice to Antonio in the animated feature Encanto, and he also makes an appearance in the new Disney Animation short Once Upon a Studio. His upcoming projects include Firebuds and Grassland.
Finally, Kyrianna Kratter has a diverse acting portfolio that includes roles in the United States of AL, Bunk’d, The Healing Garden, and more. With her talent and experience, she will surely bring depth to her character in the show.
For now, the official roles of the young actors have not yet been announced. In the meantime, the synopsis for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew teases an Amblin Entertainment-style coming-of-age story set in the Star Wars universe. The synopsis reads as follows:
“In the first episode of Skeleton Crew, we are introduced to four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
It’s undoubtedly an exciting description of the show, but fans also note that it opens up a possible connection to another Star Wars series. The synopsis confirms the children will “get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.”
The description has led to speculation that the kids will end up in Peridea, where they could get help from Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Huyang, and the Noti tribe.

This is truly an exciting possibility, considering that Ahsoka Tano had stated that she and Sabine Wren were exactly where they were meant to be in the Ahsoka finale. Could Ahsoka’s next mission be to save the kids (and her companions) from Skeleton Crew in getting back to their galaxy? With that in mind, fans are already looking forward to the next Star Wars series.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will consist of eight episodes. The new show is expected to premiere on Disney+ in January 2024.
