The Division Movie to be a Netflix Exclusive; Director Announced
Ubisoft recently unloaded some new info on their blog about their much-anticipated movie based on Tom Clancy’s The Division.
The movie will be starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Spiderman: Far From Home, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and Jessica Chastain (IT Chapter Two, Dark Phoenix). After several box office smashes like Deadpool 2, John Wick and the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw, David Leitch will be directing the movie for Ubisoft.
The description of the movie via Ubisoft’s Blog is below:
“Starring Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal, The Division is set in the near future, where a pandemic virus has spread via contaminated cash on Black Friday, decimating New York City and killing millions. If civilization has any hope of rebuilding out of the chaos, it will be up to The Division, a group of highly trained civilians, to save what remains of society.”
The movie is set to arrive exclusively to Netflix, but there’s still no release date yet.
