The Legend of Zelda is catching lots of eyes around the world and credits for the new abilities added to the game. A lot of people are seen having fun with these abilities as they give you a chance to be creative. There are 7 main abilities that Link can use in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and this guide will explain all these abilities and where to find or obtain them.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Abilities and How to Obtain
Fuse
What is Fuse Ability?
- As the name suggests, this ability allows you to fuse two materials to create something new. For example, you can attach a boulder to a tree bark and create a hammer-like weapon which is helpful against enemies with armor.
- Fusion also increases the durability of your weapon and adds special effects to them depending on the materials used.
How to Obtain it?
- The Fuse ability can be found in the Southwest corner of Great Sky Island in the In-Isa Shrine.
- Once you will reach the shrine, you will have to use different materials to fuse that you will find in the hall.
- In the end, you will have to defeat an enemy with your fused weapons and you will be able to learn this ability permanently.
Ultrahand
What is Ultrahand Ability?
- Ultrahand will probably become the most used ability by players. This ability grants Link to pick up, move, and rotate objects. He can even attach things to create bridges, vehicles, and more.
- We have already witnessed how creative people can get with this ability. So make sure to explore more about this ability as it can come in really handy.
- Lastly, you would require this ability to solve various puzzles throughout your journey of Tears of the Kingdom, so make sure you get familiar with how to use this ability.
How to Obtain it?
- You will obtain this ability on the Great Sky Island.
- This ability is taught to Link in Ukuoh Shrine so head over there to unlock it.
Recall
What is Recall Ability?
- Ever wanted to feel how it feels to have a time stone like Dr. Strange? Well, now’s your chance. You can use Recall to reverse an object’s movement, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
- This ability is really helpful especially when you want to cross rivers or lava.
How to Obtain it?
- After you have learned Ultrahand, Fuse and Ascend abilities head back to the Temple of Time.
- On interacting with Zelda, she will grant you the recall ability although you will have to solve a puzzle using the Recall ability to make it through.
Camera
How to Obtain it?
- Head over to the Lookout Landing and climb up to the first floor of Pura’s building.
- There you will find Robbie, after an interaction with them you will have to complete a quest “Camera Work”.
- Once done, you will have a camera for yourself which you can access through the ability menu.
Autobuild
What is Autobuild Ability?
- Autobuild ability lets Link quickly build anything previously constructed if the materials are nearby.
- This is a real time saver and you need to be quick to get your hands on this one.
How to Obtain it?
- You will have to explore the depths of the great abandoned central mind.
- Here you will find Master Kohga, leader of the Yiga Clan, and after defeating him you will be able to secure this ability.
Ascend
What is Ascend Ability?
- Ascend ability helps you pass through the objects and rise upwards to make your way to the top. This ability comes in handy especially if you are a lazy one!
- To use this ability, you will have to position Link beneath the surface you want him to ascend through, if it’s in his range you will see a green sign. Clicking your ascend ability will let you pass through.
- Do remember, Ascend Ability has a range limit and you will have to be below the surface to be able to use it.
How to Obtain it?
- You will learn this ability at Gutanbac Shrine. After you enter the Shrine, you will notice some stones you can stand under and pass through them to ascend.
- You will have to find your way out of the shrine using the ascend ability and it’s fairly easy to do so.
Amiibo
What is Amiibo Ability?
- Amiibo ability has made its way back to Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You will have to scan the Zelda figurines which will grant you armor, items, and various other materials specific to them
How to Obtain it?
- This ability is auto-unlocked in the game as soon as you can unlock Ultrahand Ability.
