Hylians, a Goron and a Gerudo

Let me tell you, the new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has changed the entire ballgame! Many have compared it favorably to the epic Breath of the Wild debut trailer, but many more have proclaimed it to be greater. But this is more than simply marketing; it introduces key players and drops hints that may provide crucial information about the plot. Let’s take a look at the Tears of the Kingdom’s confirmed characters so far!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Confirmed Characters

1. Link

New powers, such as time travel, ceiling crossing, and item merging, are given to our hero, who must utilize them to solve the mystery of what happened to Princess Zelda and defeat the enemies attacking Hyrule.

Link’s adventure will be nothing short of epic, with plenty of opportunities to reunite with old friends and make contact with helpful new ones. But will he be up to the task and be able to stop the evil forces led by Ganondorf?

It’s no secret that Link is a crucial character in Tears of the Kingdom. I mean, he’s the star of the show, right? 😅

2. Zelda

Fans have been clamoring for her to be a playable character, and while we can’t confirm that just yet, we do know that her role in the story will be much bigger than in the previous game, Breath of the Wild.

You may remember her only through scattered memories, but this time, Zelda is set to take the kingdom by storm. The big question on everyone’s mind is, what will her role be? Will she be by Link’s side, or off on her own adventure?

3. Ganondorf

The Demon King, Ganondorf, is back for the first time since Twilight Princess in 2006. His new look has fans talking, and they can’t help but wonder what part he plays in the story. Although Ganondorf is probably going to be the main antagonist again, some gamers have speculated that we could get a different take on him.

Some have hypothesized that Ganondorf’s character in Tears of the Kingdom was once a heroic figure before being corrupted. Given the character’s history, it’s hard to see this happening, but it’s not impossible. After all, the developers have a track record of pleasing players with plot surprises they didn’t see coming. We eagerly await the story’s progression and whatever fate awaits Ganondorf in the future.

Ganondorf’s Resurrection

  • So far, it appears that Ganondorf’s return was the catalyst for the appearance of the celestial islands in Hyrule. These gigantic islands are actually chunks of Hyrule that have ascended to the clouds. However, these islands aren’t like any others; they really hide remnants of the long-lost Zonai civilization, including artifacts and advanced technology.
  • The Zonai civilization plays a crucial part in the tale of Breath of the Wild and its impending sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, and this will be revealed as we get further into the games.

4. Tureli

Tureli, following in his father’s footsteps as a fierce warrior, displays his mastery of the bow. In the gripping clip, we see Tureli flying through the air with Link as they set out on a dangerous journey to face a terrifying new creature.

5. Prince Sidon

Prince Sidon, who grabbed our hearts in Breath of the Wild with his contagious personality and odd interests, returns in the eagerly awaited sequel to help Link in his mission to preserve the kingdom.

In the latest trailer, we get an intriguing look of him accompanying our hero as he fights the mighty golems. He even appears to be wearing the crown of his late father, King Dorphan, along with one of the seven tears that give the sequel its title.

6. Riju

In the latest trailer, Riju steals the spotlight with her electrifying entrance – dancing with her two scimitars to summon a breathtaking shower of lightning around her. Although we haven’t seen much of her in action yet, we have high hopes that she will play a significant role in the story, just like the impressive Sidon.
