Sad news to all the fans out there, the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is currently delayed. The game was supposedly coming out for a September release this year. However, the sudden announcement came from the video game developer Daedalic Entertainment.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first announced way back in 2019. It is an action-adventure single-player game. Following the journey of Gollum, the iconic character from The Lord of the Rings (TLOTR). So this game is certainly expected by many fans of TLOTR.
Daedalic Entertainment statement
The video game developer posted their statement on their official social media accounts. Their message points out the following “We are dedicated to meeting our community’s expectations and uncovering the untold story of Gollum in a way that honors the vision of J.R.R. Tolkien.”
They further explained, “That being said, in order to deliver the best possible experience, we have decided to push the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by a few months. We will update you with an exact timing in the near future.”

They did not further elaborate on the exact date for the new release. However, it’s going to be available a few months later. Since there are 5 months more left for this year, assumingly the game could still be up around 2022.
The reason for its delay is quite understandable as they only what was best for the game. This is also to give honor to the creator and author of TLOTR, J.R.R. Tolkien.
It would certainly be worth waiting for once this game is finally out. Just wait for a little longer as they also ask for understanding and support. Gollum is going to have an adventure with you soon.
