TWICE Members Best Vocalists | Ranked

What is love? For ONCEs, oh, we know that it is TWICE. Hailing from the third-generation, the girl group has been known for the addictive key points of their choreography. TT? SIGNAL? LIKEY? Almost everyone knows the moves to that. While we know that the JYP girl group can sing, dance, and rap, has anyone ever wondered about the ranking of TWICE members best vocalists? Well, we’re here to deliver it to you. Stick around!

Who Has The Golden Voice Among The TWICE Members?

When you hear TWICE sing, you get lost with the members’ voices (that’s based on a real experience, though!) However, members have certain positions, which is oftentimes used in the K-pop industry. All members can sing, but there will always be members who would excel the best in specific areas. By that, this ranked list means no harm or negativity.

  • We looked upon various online communities to know fans’ ranking when it comes to the TWICE members best vocalists. All these are subjective, so if you have a different rank, then do let us know in the comments below.

Disclaimer: Aside from online forums, the ranked list is also subjective to the author’s views and opinions.

Let’s get the ball rolling, shall we?

9) Momo

We may place Momo on the last, but hear us out. She may not be the best at singing, but Hirai is undoubtedly the best at dancing. When it comes to her vocals, it’s evident that she lacks technique, and her range could be limited.

  • However, if you hear her low registers, it’s obvious that’s where her voice is comfortable. She sings pretty well with a certain pitch. Unfortunately, most of their songs, ever since debut, requires her to sing on a higher pitch. This leads to her using a nasal most of the time.
  • If she’ll be trained with her comfortable pitch, we think she would be a more effective vocalist for TWICE. Listen to her vocals with MISAMO’s Do Not Touch!

8) Dahyun

One thing that we noticed when Dahyun sings is her breathing. In most discussions we looked at, the TWICE lead rapper’s breathing support is what they mentioned that she needs. She’s a compelling rapper and a strong instrumentalist (she plays piano well), but her vocals can be trained more.

  • She’s also similar with Momo, but not with the nasal placement part. Dahyun also lacks technique and her voice isn’t quite versatile, either. Nonetheless, as one of the rappers of the group, she’s effective with her expertise. She has also enhanced her singing, and we can’t wait to hear more improvement soon!

7) Sana

We’re getting nearer the end of this TWICE members best vocalists ranked list! Snatching the seventh, another of the Japanese members, Minatozaki Sana. We know, we also love her vocals, but it would be powerful if she lessens her use of her nasal voice.

Her voice has great potential and it could be developed to be one of TWICE’s stable vocalists. Sana could sing low and belt high ones; it just needs a lot of practice to reach her best vocal quality. With her vocals at this point, we couldn’t resist but fall in love; what more if Sana’s voice will be improved? Oh no, prepare a lot of swerving!

6) Tzuyu

The group’s maknae on top takes the sixth for the TWICE members best vocalists list. We’ve been thinking twice whether we’ll put Sana here or Tzuyu, but then, tada, here we are. First, it’s evident how Tzuyu’s vocals have grown and improved since their SIXTEEN era. Also, she may not have the widest range, but her lower range is trained well.

  • Tzuyu has a pretty great technique and projection, however, there seems to be a lack of emotions when she sings. This is something that can be practiced, so there’s still considerable room for improvement!

5) Chaeyoung

Honestly, this member is who every ONCE considered the TWICE’s ace — and we’re pretty sure we aren’t wrong. Another maknae line represent, Son Chaeyoung, makes it fifth to this TWICE member best vocalists ranked list. Have you heard her cover of Justin Bieber’s Off My Face? She has this soothing and pleasant voice that would have you swooning.

  • Chaeyoung has this limited range, but the potential of her voice could be practiced for better vocals. Being the ace, we all know that she can dance, sing, and of course, she wouldn’t have the main rapper position without any reason, right? However, we placed her fifth, as her voice needs more confidence.
  • Her vocals have been recently showcased with their comebacks, and clearly, Chaeyoung has improved a lot through the years. She developed her low to middle registers, has a stable live vocals, and sings clearly, too. So, now we’re only hoping for the cub to gain full confidence in singing and show everyone what she has!

4) Mina

We thought twice whether to put Chaeyoung here or just tied them on fourth, but anyway, here comes Myoui Mina ranking fourth on this TWICE members best vocalists. The group’s “Queen of Bridges, and we know ONCEs will agree, too. Years after their debut, Mina still holds this title as her lovely voice perfectly fits their songs’ bridges, may it be a title track or their b-side. Check this Snowman cover because we fell in love with her here!

  • One reason for placing her at fourth is her breathy technique. It’s noticeable when you hear her vocals, especially on the bridges, and at times, her voice sounds too fragile. Mina is a pretty good singer and even her falsettos sound nice, however, it needs more projection.
  • Her vocals, like Chaeyoung, may not be as powerful as others, but she can compete with consistency and stability. We would love to hear her sing louder, but can we just say that Mina’s vocals are similar to her aura and visuals? There‘s this elegance and ethereal effect that would get you hooked in no time. Listen to the bridge of their title track, CHEER UP, and see for yourselves what we’re talking about!

3) Nayeon

Okay, we know; this third ranking is debatable, but here we are placing Im Nayeon as third in this TWICE members best vocalists ranking. We love it when she and Jihyo battle with all the high notes, but we are in awe regarding her wide range. Sure, she can sing on low notes, but her powerful belts always get us every time. This sure is tough; it’s a close fight between Nayeon and second place.

  • Through the years, we heard more and more of Nayeon’s vocals in their songs. Stable and clear vocals, and could even pass as a versatile singer. She has this amazing technique, and ONCEs would indeed be impressed when they hear her vocals live.
  • In our opinion, her voice perfectly fits the cute and bubbly concept of TWICE way back. This is one reason we placed her third. While her vocals are still giving (in Gen Z’s terms) and effective, their recent comebacks are more fitting to the other two power vocals of the girl group. Do listen to her cover songs, Love Is Everything and Falling, and prepare to fall in love with Im Nayeon’s angelic voice.

2) Jeongyeon

Snatching second place with just a bit of a gap, Yoo Jeongyeon is here. Her vocals can most of the times be heard during the third chorus of TWICE’s tracks, mainly the titles. She’s almost tied to Jihyo for being the most consistent when it comes to live singing. But honestly, we wish to hear more from her range, and she can develop and show it to the fans waiting for it.

  • She has this great technique and offers this sweetness in her vocals that comes out naturally. Among all the members, Jeongyeon’s deep tone really catches us always. It still gives us goosebumps whenever she hears them.
  • Another reason for placing her second in this TWICE members best vocalists is her emotions when she sings. Her vocals tell the song, jam-packed with all the emotions, clear lyrics, and stability. She can also offer powerful belts, but we wish to hear more of her vocals in their songs. Even if she is one of the lead vocalists, Jeongyeon frequently is one of the members with the least lines. Listen to her exclusive Apple Music cover, and enjoy the Christmas season, ONCEs!

1) Jihyo

All hail to the golden voice! The top spot for the TWICE members best vocalists title goes to the girl group’s main vocalist, Park Jihyo! She recently debuted as a soloist with her album, ZONE. Honestly, we can consider her as one of the third generation’s best vocals. You know why? All her training years (she trained the longest) have earned her the best vocal ability among all members.

  • She has excellent technique and a wide range, too. Ji has powerful and stable high notes, and her voice control is worth noting. Her live performances are so untouchable that you would want to hear more of her vocals [real!]
  • TWICE’s songs offer all ranges from Jihyo, low to high; name it, and she can slay it beautifully. Have you heard her adlibs? It’s definitely top-tier! Seriously, there’s really not much to say about Jihyo’s vocal ability.

It was tough ranking the fourth to ninth places since they do not have many singing lines on their title tracks and b-sides. Each of their voices fits certain songs that show their vocal potential. Interestingly, their vocals, when altogether make great music, and they are the best when they are nine!

The real battle among the lead vocal line of TWICE, AKA the 3mix was really something. These three have been the most steady and best vocalists among the TWICE members, but there you go! Here ends our ranked list of TWICE members best vocalists. We hope to hear yours, so share them with us below!
