Twitter hyped up for Donald Trump’s first mugshot after indictment in Stormy Daniels hush money case

Former US President Donald Trump’s mugshot is all set to become one of the most iconic images of all time. In fact, the hype has reached a point where photoshopped mugshots are already going viral. Trump was indicted over a hush money case involving adult film star Stormy Daniels. The news has shocked the world as he became the first ever American President, former and sitting, charged with a crime.

Trump’s controversial personality precedes his reputation as a President. Over the years, the man has become a pop culture symbol and a meme favorite for the internet. His recent indictment means he will have to go through the same protocol as other criminals in the United States justice system. This implies that Trump could be in handcuffs, his fingerprints would be processed and of course, a mugshot will be in order.

Explaining the buzz around Donald Trump’s upcoming mugshot on Twitter

Taking fingerprints and mugshots are basic protocol when it comes to an individual who has been indicted. Trump’s status of wealth and power will not make him an exception from this rule as it is standard procedure. In fact, many celebrities in the US have been arrested in the past and their mugshots are still popular to this date.

The idea of a Donald Trump mug shot has caught on to the internet like wildfire. Several fake mug shots of the former President are already circulating on Twitter and other platforms. However, once the real mugshot emerges after Trump surrenders, it will surely break the internet.

Social media reactions to Trump’s potential mugshot

Twitter is already abuzz with ideas of what Donald Trump’s mugshot after indictment would look like. Like all defendants in American criminal cases, the former President is also likely to wear an orange jumpsuit.

Trump will be accompanied by members of the United States Secret Service, as the protocol is retained by former presidents. However, it is unlikely that he will receive any more special treatment as a former president.

Explaining the Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels hush money case

Trump was indicted by a Manhattan court for making payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels to silence affair claims. This was right in the middle of the 2016 US presidential elections where Trump won over Democrat leader Hillary Clinton to become the 45th American President.

Donald Trump had paid Stormy Daniels around $130,000 to buy her silence over an extramarital sexual encounter with him. If the news had gotten out back then, it would have crumbled his chances of becoming president.

The alleged affair took place in 2006 but Stormy Daniels reached out with the news just before the election. While the pay-out is not illegal, it still becomes a case of falsifying business records which is criminal.

Trump has responded to his indictment claiming that the court is doing President Joe Biden’s dirty work. The former President is coordinating his surrender as he argues that the decision is part of a political witch hunt.
