-
Players can summon Eikthyr in the Meadows biome by offering two deer trophies at the sacrifice altar.
You’ll face Eikthyr, a large deer-like beast with lightning powers, early on in Valheim. It’s the game’s first boss, and most players find it to be a laidback task.

How to Defeat Eikthyr
- Arm yourself with a decent bow and arrows, a shield, and leather armor. You can also equip weapons that inflict lightning damage, such as the bronze mace.
- During the fight, keep your distance from Eikthyr and use your bow to shoot it from afar.
- Dodge its lightning charge attack and get close to it to deal with melee attacks when it’s stunned.
- Also, try to dodge its stomp attack by moving sideways.
- Because Eikthyr is a quick and nimble boss, it is crucial that you carefully check your health and stamina levels during the encounter. Try to avoid unnecessary attacks and save your energy for dodging and blocking attacks.
- If possible, fight Eikthyr in a clearing or an open area. This will give you more room to maneuver and dodge its attacks.
