Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #33 has revealed the cover page and it screams celebration. The celebration of the 55th anniversary of the weekly magazine. July marks the 55th anniversary of one of the longest-running manga magazines. Not only that but One Piece is also resuming its serialisation after a month-long hiatus. And July also marks the 9th anniversary of My Hero Academia.

With all that said, no anime fan is a stranger to Weekly Shonen Jump. Here’s everything about the 33 issue of the magazine from the cover page to its contents.

Weekly Shonen Jump was first published in 1968. Initially, the magazine was circulated bi-weekly but shifted to the weekly format in 1969. Since then the magazine has given fans their beloved shonen manga every week. The celebratory issue for the 55th anniversary was made available for fans on 17th July and the physical edition a day later on 18th July.

The special cover page has characters from different titles that get published in the magazine. 

  • Monkey D. Luffy, Midoriya Deku, Itadiri Yuji, and Sakamoto Taro seem to be taking the spotlight in the first row. 
  • Followed by Roboco, Andy, Taiyo, Akane, and Chinatsu. 
  • Niko, Hojo, and Asta taking up the spots on the right. 
  • At the back we have Fill, Fabricant 100, Tenmaku, Tsubasa, Yajima, Aozora, Asumi, Iroha, and Ogami.
