The anime streaming giant Crunchyroll On May 19, 2022, declared its association with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Eurozoom, and Wild Bunch International to appropriate Makoto Shinkai’s latest genius – Suzume No Tojimari release. A global sound resonates toward Shinkai’s latest work after his previous hit, Weathering With You, left fans wanting more. Japan has already had its fill. Now, global fans await to feel a similar thrill. (That last bit felt like a rap, didn’t it?)
Ever since Suzume no Tojimari’s native theatrical release in Japan, fans have pondered upon when the film will exactly release. Although it was confirmed long ago that Crunchyroll will attempt to bring the film to countries, with the exclusion of the Asian nations. But when they told us that Suzume no Tojimari release dates will be soon, we did not expect it to be this soon.

How Suzume no Tojimari has been doing at the box office
- Makoto Shinkai’s new film gathered a ton of recognition in Japan for its storyline, cast, and liveliness in its underlying three-day opening. I mean, we expected Shinkai to break records, but when Suzume no Tojimari overwhelmed even Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we were quite shaken.
The implications of this should be positive for how the film will perform in overseas theatres.
- Japanese fans may have had something to say about their love for Shinkai when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opened at 2.4 Million USD.
- Whereas Suzume no Tojimari gathered a whopping 13.49 million USD. The film outperformed even the previous record of Kimi no Na Wa.
- As of Sunday, it purportedly secured 7.6 billion yen (around $55.6 million) at the Japanese box office with 5.61 million tickets sold.
Suzume no Tojimari release dates global
- Suzume no Tojimari will hit many movie halls beginning April 12, 2023, in France and Malta.
- After which on April 13, the film will premiere in Australia, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, and New Zealand.
Suzume no Tojimari release date USA
- In this way, on April 14, fans in the US, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Gibraltar, Ireland, and Luxembourg will get to see Makoto Shinkai’s new show-stopper in theaters.
Crunchyroll should before long, report the premiere dates for Latin America and the remainder of the European, Center East, and African countries.
Why Asian countries may have to wait a while before they see Suzume no Tojimari hit theatres
The streaming platform as of late has reported concrete worldwide release dates for most areas of the globe. And this includes American and European countries. Although the seeming reason for the exclusion of Asian countries seems to be because of a lack of distributors.
But with rising distribution services such as Muse Asia that operates within Asia, we expect the nations to follow suit. Muse Asia has a dedicated free youtube channel that uploads anime for free for a wider audience incorporating Singapore, India, Nepal, and Bangladesh, along with other oriental nation-states.

The story of Suzume no Tojimari follows Suzume, a 17-year-old young lady who meets a strange man looking for an entryway, a door of sorts. Subsequent to finding and opening the door, Suzume understands that different doors around Japan have been opened, unleashing destruction over the nation. With how it always is, a Makoto Shinkai work should include captivating visuals, an amazing sound score, and loving characters.
