BTS RM creates a new IG account
On Wednesday, November 22, BTS’ leader changed the profile picture and bio of his Instagram account (@Rkive). He replaced the photo with a black screen and the ‘2024’ bio with another account’s link. He also published the same link with a black background on his Instagram story.

The said account is named “rpwprpwprpwp” and resembles his original profile (apart from the feed). As per the publically available data on Instagram, this account was created this month, which seals the speculation that is a surprise from the global K-pop star.
However, the cryptic hints aren’t helping ARMYs conclude the account’s purpose. Many believe that it is for a similar project as Wootteo, an adorable cartoon that played a part in the promotions of JIN’s ‘The Astronaut.” Some suspect that it has a link to RM’s military enlistment and/or passion for photography. What’s the purpose of the RM Instagram account ‘rpwprpwprpwp’?
The most likely speculation is that the account was created for his upcoming project, RM4. Namjoon has been teasing his upcoming solo album for several months. Its release will add a new leaf to his impressive discography consisting of mixtapes and solo album Indigo (2022).

All the members of the star’s creative team have followed the account. Secondly, RM had mentioned that he was working on a project after performing a preview of the fan song “Dandelion” at SUGA’s D-DAY concert. Additionally, an ARMY has managed to disperse the account’s name, which agrees with the hints of a new project.
The alphabets W, R, and P represent the Korean consonants ‘J,’ and ‘K,’ and the vowel ‘e’ ( ㅈㄱ ㅔ) which when strung together create “I’ll Make It” or “It’s Me, It’s’ Me.” RM also stands for ‘Real Me‘, therefore, this string of letters makes sense for his mixtape.
If it is true then RM is likely to release more details about the project soon, aiming for a December or early 2024 release, but one thing we can be sure of is that all the back screens are a curtain teasing a new project of the creative soul.
