Wild Rift: $500,000 Prize For The Horizon Cup!

On 27th September, Riot made an announcement the first event for the famous League of Legends: Wild Rift. It will feature ten teams from different corners of the world; battling together to win a share of the $500,000 prize pool!

Wild Rift: Horizon Cup event is set to take place from November 3rd till 21st but it will be an offline event that will take place in the Suntec Singapore Exhibition and Convention Center.  Currently, the Wild Rift is in its initial year of release in most of the regions across the world. Hence, the Horizon Cup along with the ongoing regional qualifiers has been identified as the “pre-season for the game”. Moreover, it has clarified that the Horizon Cup will not be the “first Wild Rift Worlds”.

Over the years, mobile gaming has gone on to become more popular amongst the East and South-East Asian countries. With ESA coming to the forefront and announcing its association and endorsement of Wild Rift, players have also stepped up their game to participate in the upcoming tournament.

So far, we know that in this tournament there will be ten teams. They will compete against each other to win the grand prize of $500,000. Out of ten teams, five have been filled and the other five slots are unoccupied, as of yet.

  • The confirmed teams are Da Kun Gaming from China, KT Rolster from South Korea, Team Queso from Europe, Sengoku Gaming from Japan, and eBRO Gaming from South America.
  • Lastly, the selection of the other five teams will be decided in the following events: One team from the Wild Rift League (WRL) – China, Two teams from the Southeast Asia Championship – SEA, One team from the Wild Rift Summoner Series – NA, and One team from the Wild Tour – Brazil
