Details About Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3
Chapter 3 will continue the story after Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. During the events of the previous game, the Player crashes their train near Playcare. They must find a way out of this factory while being chased after Mommy Long Legs.
There has been a lot of speculation that the Poppy Playtime’s next entry is in 2023, given the development time between Chapters 1 and 2. With the release of PROJECT: Playtime, it’s likely that the next chapter will have a 2023 release timeframe.
Why Many Fans Believe that Boxy Boo will be in Chapter 3
Two of the antagonists in PROJECT: Playtime will be the two villains from the previous games. Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs are iconic monsters that relentlessly hunted you down in the past chapters. Boxy Boo is the newest one and doesn’t have a game yet. It stands to reason that it will be the one to make an appearance by Chapter 3.
Boxy Boo has long been in development, teased shortly after the release of Chapter 2. You can see the jack-in-the-box in the background in the numerous ARG segments released by MOB. Given that there has been a long development time for the character, it makes sense that they want to maximize its appearance. The best way to do that is by making it a villain in Chapter 3.

What to Expect from Boxy Boo
Boxy Boo’s in PROJECT: Playtime gives us a clear idea of his design and how it will likely act during Chapter 3. It’s described as a springy hunter, meaning it could pounce and leap at you unexpectedly for that jump scare. There are also possibilities of it being able to sneak around or set traps. One thing is for sure: you’re likely to hear the winding of the Jack-in-the-box when Boxy is after you.
With the trend of the previous games, it seems like the Player’s problems aren’t at an end. They will likely find themselves trapped in another location, trying to escape. There are no details yet about new gameplay mechanics for Chapter 3. It is possible, but we can only guess until they release more information about the game.
