Will BTS Jungkook return to Instagram + Account hacked?

ARMYs sure are thrilled about the back-to-back news about the members of the K-pop boy group. All BTS members share updates on them via Weverse and their personal Instagram accounts. However, if you check out BTS’ official Instagram account’s following, you may find one member missing. On February 28, user @jungkook.97 deactivated his Instagram account which shocked fans. Was your first thought, “Is it hacked?” Nope, it’s not hacked, and also, no, we don’t think we can see Jungkook with the latest Instagram posts anytime soon. BTS Jungkook cleared out what truly happened with his social media account.

Where is Jungkook’s Instagram?

Hours before he deactivated his account, Jungkook went live on Weverse. Can we just say that Jungkook’s hair at this moment is simply perfect for him?! We would’ve hoped we see this style on his Instagram account, but we can just hope.

• Going back to his live, he talked about his dog Bam, and how his house feels quiet without Bam. We wish Bam to get better soon! Of course, Jungkook sang for everyone and interacted with ARMYs. The live ran for nearly 30 minutes, and then, six hours later, we lost user @jungkook.97.

• In a Weverse post, Jungkook confirms that he was not hacked. The real reason behind his ‘lost’ account is that he decided to deactivate it. The BTS’ maknae says he ended up not using the social media application so he just deactivated his account. He also shares that he deleted the application as he doesn’t think he’ll be using it soon.

• Jungkook tells ARMYs to not worry about it too. He also reassures the fandom that he would try to do Weverse live from time to time. Oh, OT7 you will be missed on Instagram.

ARMYs’ reactions

Most of them are shocked, some are sad, and some just can’t believe it happened. We may have been shocked about what happened, but at least we still have Weverse to reach out to Jungkook, right? But yup, the rest of the members now only have six followings, including the BTS account.

• Okay, let’s just think that the official BTS account is Jungkook’s, at least for now. We hope we can see him come back anytime he feels like coming back!
• Significantly, it’s nice to know that some idols use their freedom to do whatever they want. As much as we’ll miss him on Instagram, as the saying goes, YOLO.

Celebrities care so much about their number of followers and likes but there’s Jungkook. He deleted his Instagram posts multiple times with millions of likes, deactivated the account & deleted the app without caring for anything. Love how he’s so carefree and does what he wants.

• Those who came exactly at the time when Jungkook deleted his Instagram were dumbfounded and began searching for what happened. We think nobody literally moved when the IG followings of the members dropped to only six.

• And lastly, the power that BTS and Jungkook hold is truly overwhelming. In a span of a few hours, various South Korean media outlets dropped news about Jungkook’s Instagram. He’s that big in K-media, and they’re right though.

BTS members’ Instagram accounts

In December 2021, the seven members of BTS debuted their personal accounts on Instagram. Each member has a unique username that ARMYs truly love.

• RM is @rkive, Jin is @jin, Suga is @agustd, J-Hope is @uarmyhope, Jimin is @j.m, and V is @thv. The six members have the same account handles even in 2023.

• Well, except for one member, Jeon Jungkook. The golden maknae had the longest, and probably most witty among all the usernames made. He welcomed his Instagram followers with his username @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz. Yup, he left J and K out, which stands as his initials. Such a brainy username, but unfortunately (or fortunately), he changed it to @jungkook.97.
• Well, it’s just a year and two months after their Instagram debut and Jungkook’s Instagram already bid goodbye.

Well, let’s just hope we can see him back on the application whenever he plans to make another account again. So see you again if ever, user @jungkook.97!
