Often considered to be one of the best games ever made as well as one of the best RPGs of all time, CD Projekt Red has some exciting news for Witcher 3. At the first-ever Witchercon 2021, there were many surprises for the fans of the Witcher franchise and one of them was regarding a new update for Witcher 3.
The Complete Version
It was announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is now scheduled to launch this autumn for the newer consoles, as well as PC. The new version of the game will be a free upgrade for anyone who purchased the original. These new consoles include Play Station 5 and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, unlike Netflix’s Witcher series, fans got to see no trailer for the same, but a promotional cover was released.
“Before you ask; the next-gen update will be free for everyone who already owns the game; the DLCs are not exclusive to the next-gen version, they will be available for every version of the game (including PS4, Xbox One, and Switch)”, the tweet from @witchergame read.
New DLC
As you can see in the promotional poster, there is a NETFLIX banner under the title as well. The CD Projekt Red revelation is about the new DLC for Witcher 3 revolving around the Netflix series version. The Netflix version which features Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia aka The Witcher is mainly based on books but has many similarities to the games.
It described the DLC as extra items. We can expect the addition is a new skin for Geralt. This will make him resemble his Netflix actor Henry Cavill. It can also be a set of armor based on what he wears in the show. One thing which fans constantly demanded was for CD Projekt Red to add the song “Toss A Coin to Your Witcher” to Witcher 3. Could that be one of the things they add in the new DLC? We would surely like that, won’t we!
