The Sanctuary in Diablo 4 is filled with numerous challenges and quests among which the Strongholds consist of some of the unique bosses and enemies. These are generally small in size and designed to be a bit more challenging that a basic dungeon.
Once you enter a Stronghold, you will face enemies that are of a higher level than the character you are playing with. Clearing these areas will help you unlock more waypoints, make that region a safe place to host some NPCs, and you will earn handsome rewards as well.
Where can you find Strongholds in Diablo 4
You can find all the Strongholds in the following places:
Fractured Peaks:
- Nostrava: Located in the west of Kyovashad
- Malnok: Directly to the east of Kyovashad
- Kor Dragon: Situated in the north of Western Ways in the Sarkova Pass
Scosglen Strongholds:
- Moordaine Lodge: To the northeast of the Daudur Peats
- Tur Dulra: Head northwest from the Ancients’ Woods in Scosglen
- Hope’s Light: To the northwest of the Eternal Watch in the Northshore area
Dry Steppes Strongholds:
- The Onyx Watchtower: Head southeast of Ked Bardu waypoint or you may head directly south of Bastard’s Pass area
- Temple of Rot: Located in the southern part of Dindai Flats or directly southeast of the Caves of Khalos
- Ruins of Qara-Yisu: In the Accursed Wastes, west of the Foothills of Saraan
Kehjistan Strongholds:
- Altar of Ruin: Present in the east of Searing Expanse near the Amber Sands area
- Alcarnus: To the southwest of Echoing Cavern close to the Scouring Sands
- Omath’s Redoubt: Northeast of Hakan’s Oasis near the Gea Kul region
Hawezar Strongholds:
- Crusader’s Monument: You can find this by going north of Unholy Altar in Zarbinzet
- Eriman’s Pyre: To the northeast of the Cinder Wastes in the Dismal Foothills
- Vyeresz: In the northeast of the Reach of Adulation in the Toxin Fens region
How to complete the Strongholds
To conquer a Stronghold, you must have a proper strategy in mind and study the layout before entering into the battle. Consider playing in co-op mode and teaming up with your friends to make the conflict easier. Try on different builds to see what fits best for you.
Once you finish defeating all the enemies and bosses inside the Stronghold, you will be eligible for 100 Renown rewards and it can go up to 300 if you defeat all of them in a single region.
