The battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will undoubtedly be filthy, especially now that we have Angelina Jolie calling the case ‘malicious’ and ‘frivolous’ in court.

What is the lawsuit all about?
The lawsuit is against Angelina Jolie, who co-owned a winery with Brad Pitt. Here is what both parties are pleading. According to Pitt, he and Jolie have an unspoken contract regarding the said winery.

Pitt’s allegations of Angelina, according to a report, are as follows: “Pitt‘s allegations that he and Ms. Jolie had a secret, unwritten, unspoken contract to a consent right on the sale of their interests in the property is directly contrary to the written record and, among other legal defects, violative of the Statute of Frauds and public policy.”
- On the other hand, Angelina calls the lawsuit vengeful and malignant but fails to say anything substantial that might help her win the case.
The intricacies of the suit
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt purchased a winery in 2008. Since then, it seems they have been the co-owners of the property. They even got married in the same winery. Things are only starting to turn for the worse now that Angelina is trying to sell the winery. All of this is without the consent of the co-owner, Brad Pitt. According to Pitt, Jolie didn’t even inform him of her decision to sell their shared property.
- The apparent reason she gave to gain the jury’s sympathy is that her finances were getting out of line. She has no choice but to sell the property if she wants to fix her financial situation.
- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s unwritten contract states that they will not sell the winery for the sake of their family. If you are unfamiliar with how contracts work, they can be done in writing or otherwise.
- The sole thing that matters is that the contract should be accepted by the other party, provided that there was no outside or unnecessary influence on the other party to enter into the said agreement.

Angelina Jolie, who filed a cross-suit against Brad Pitt, claims that Pitt misbehaved with her on a private plane in 2016. She affirms that that misbehavior led to the dissolution of their marriage.

The twist that now comes is the court’s decision, which is yet to be announced. Jolie, in her defense, drags the winery battle into a physical abuse feud. Jolie says the contract ended when Brad Pitt asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
- The NDA states that a contract will bind Jolie. In the contract, Jolie is prohibited from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.
