Storyline and Gameplay Features
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes us back to the streets of Baghdad in a timeline of the 9th century AD. There, we get to experience the story of the main character named Basim Ibn Ishaq, who transitions to a member of the Brotherhood from a petty thief. He is mentored by a senior member of the Hidden Ones called Roshan before his incorporation into the secret group.
- We have seen both Basim and his mentor Roshan appear in the last title Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. It would be interesting to see them play a major role in the upcoming game.
- After the last few titles’ deviation from the original Assassin’s Creed formula, fans are thrilled that Mirage is going back to its roots. Both the parkour mechanics and the focus on stealth-based combat remind us of the good old AC days of Ezio and Altair.
- The game will continue to be a single-player action-adventure RPG experience with no multiplayer or co-op support. It will also be relatively shorter in length, with an estimated 25-30 hours of gameplay.
- Ubisoft has confirmed that Mirage will retain the modern-day monetization system of microtransactions. However, they claim that this time the in-game items will be restricted to only cosmetics, which is not going to affect the gameplay or progression directly.
Early Access
Sadly, there are no plans to release an early access version of the game to the public. But at the same time, the game is coming out a week earlier than the designated time.
