Back 4 Blood: Six Million Players Since Launch
Just two weeks since it was released, the online multiplayer FPS from Turtle Rock Studios, Back 4 Blood has seen more than six million players! The game has had an astounding start, and the milestone achievement was announced on the game’s official Twitter account.
- The tweet plainly thanks its Cleaners; stating that with this many “With this many Cleaners on our side, we’ll stop the Ridden in no time.”
- While we do not know the number of players on each platform, the game is available for PS 4, PS 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

- We do know that the game’s 24-hour peak player count on Steam is at 29,787 (at the time of writing). However, they reached an all-time of 65, 873 players. Back 4 Blood is at #99 in top sellers on Steam as well.
- This may not seem like it is very high in the leaderboard, but it must be noted that dozens of games are released on Steam every day; there are big titles such as Red Dead Redemption to compete with.
Back 4 Blood
After the game was released, Turtle Rock Studios released a patch that lowered the difficulty of the game, following complaints that it was too difficult. The new patch had reduced the strength of particular classes of enemies and the spawn rate for the infected. Following this, players have found it better to “clean” the Ridden at a level that challenges them, while also allowing them to enjoy the game better.
