Among all BTS collaborations, this one just hits a spot for partying and chilling at the same time. Catching our tenth spot on this list, Boy With Luv rocked the Internet with its release making people “Oh my my my!” in their minds for quite a long while. RM, Suga, and J-Hope are part of the writer of the song lyrics of this dance-pop song. Also, this Map of The Soul track gives a more vibrant, romantic vibe rather than 2014’s heartbroken song Boy In Luv. See there’s their glow-up of a cute love affair!

Halsey’s voice just seems to complement the septet’s vocals which made the song, as fans called it, A BOP. The last song syndrome with this song is truly evident, and as of writing, still many people listen to this gem collaboration with 1.5 billion views on YouTube. Furthermore, Boy With Luv won the Song of the Year and Best Music Video in South Korea’s 2019 MNet Asian Music Awards, easier known as MAMA.

9 No More Dream (2013)

“To all the youngsters without dreams” – Rap Monster in No More Dream

BTS debuts with their album 2 Cool 4 Skool and their title track No More Dream. Entering our ninth spot is this hip-hop track by Bangtan Sonyeondan. No More Dream is truly a message gem of young BTS saying that we don’t have to constantly push ourselves to dream big, or even to dream. The song is rejecting society’s push or standard that when you are young, you have to dream, even better to dream big. This song released 9 years ago runs at 255 million views, and would it be nice to hear this genre of BTS again? Well, let’s hope for that to happen!

Additionally, in 2018, they released Paradise where we quite remember their No More Dream era when BTS Suga mentions “It’s OK if you don’t have a dream”. BTS’ RM, Suga, J-Hope, and JungKook are part of the songwriting team of No More Dream.

8 Fire (2016)

Just one 불타오르네 [bul-ta-o-reu-ne] you know it’s burning up! BTS 2016 compilation album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever’s title track, Fire racks our eighth rank on this list. With much fire (in the music video, you’ll see!), this wild and energetic song vibe would surely just make you go “eh eh-oh eh-oh!” and “errbody say la la la la la” and dance Fire right there and then.

As of this writing, the views are nearing a billion with 733 million and counting still. BTS’ Fire always makes fans remember how powerful J-Hope, RM, and Suga are when it comes to rapping, and how mad BTS are when they dance (literally the power they hold when they dance this!). Moreover, RM and Suga took part in writing this song too.

7 I Need U (2015)

Opening the song with “Fall everything, fall everything, fall everything”, and you just fall into BTS’ charms and music. I Need U goes seventh place on our list of the best 10 BTS songs. From Suga starting the music video, down to each member’s acting skills, the emotions that this song holds are paired up with the emotions of the seven members in the music video.

When Jimin and Jungkook sing the part, 왜 혼자 사랑하고 혼자서만 이별해 which roughly translates to “Why do I love you and try so hard to forget you when you don’t even care?”, can you hear your heartache? I Need U is one of the songs that brought many new fans to the fandom. This is a must-listen song, so you might want to check out music streaming platforms for this!

6 Blood Sweat & Tears (2016)

BTS took a more mature role with songwriting with this song topping sixth on our list, Blood Sweat & Tears. From the innocence of youth, they leaped to the beginning of adulthood, and temptations that are hard to resist. Moreover, it is inspired by Hermann Hesse’s Demian where RM’s seen to be reciting a passage in the official music video.

Well, this J-Hope line in Blood Sweat & Tears could be one of the few lines that this song is still one of the most painful ones yet, “Kiss me 아파도 돼” which translates to “Kiss me, I don’t care if it hurts”. You might want to listen to the whole song to hear what they want to convey in the song!

5 Baepsae (2015)

Catching the fifth spot on our top 10 list is BTS 2015 release, Baepsae. You might want to take your time diving into the Korean culture and their society to fully grasp the song! Moreover, the song’s beautifully-written rhyming lyrics, in line with the powerful beat of this song, you would surely put this song on your list!

Baepsae, also known as ‘Silver Spoon‘, shoots a message of shutting off stereotypes on millennials about working your hardest just for the boomers’ so-called experience. And one of the favorite parts here is Jungkook’s line, “You must be kidding me!” as you can hear the mocking in his voice.

4 Life Goes On (2020)

Taking the fourth place on our list is this 2020 released song Life Goes On. Firstly, it gives off a K-drama vibe music video that makes you want to cry, laugh, cry, then smile. With the mellow, acoustic-type of music, BTS’ goal for this is to make their fans cry. Half kidding, the music video just warms your heart as the group starts reminiscing all the times they are together. It is currently at 465 million views, check it out!

Additionally, Jungkook directing the music video mayhaps be every ARMY’s last straw because he sure did pour all emotions you want to feel while listening to Life Goes On. RM, J-Hope, and Suga join Jungkook as they took part in the songwriting. With the lyrics “여기 내 손을 잡아, 저 미래로 달아나자” which roughly translates to “Here hold my hand. To the future, let’s run away”, it makes you teary-eyed, but when BTS sing it, you just want to cry your heart out with much love. This song is a precious gem to listen to!

3 Save Me (2016)

Along with the release of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever in 2016, coming in the third spot is BTS’ Save MeEvery time the lines (here’s the translated one!) “Give me your hand save me, save me. I need your love before I fall, fall” was sung you know it breaks you too! This electro-pop genre of song is painful and comforting as you listen throughout the song.

There are parts of the lyrics where it hints that they are having a hard time, struggling at some point as Jimin sings the opening lines of 내 안에 갇혀서 난 죽어있어 which translates to “I’m trapped inside of myself, I’m dead”. Additionally, as you listen to Save Me there is a hint that this is for their beloved fans as RM raps, “Thank you for letting me be me, for helping me fly”. You may see their 2018 song “I’m Fine” as a response to this song!

2 Fake Love (2018)

Snatching the second spot on our top 10 list is BTS’ Fake Love. This 2018 track belongs to their album Love Yourself: Tear. Based on the title of this track, you know that they’re about to throw in emotions about love. Fake Love falls around the genres of rap-rock and hip-hop.

Another LSS-worthy song of BTS along with their powerful rapping and dance, you just can’t stop to “I’m so sick of this fake love, fake love, fake love”. Also, Fake Love gave BTS their first-ever Perfect All-Kill (PAK) as it ranks #1 in three major charts and streaming in South Korea which is tallied per hour, totaling to 62 PAKs with Fake Love.

1 Spring Day (2017)

BTS Spring Day

We don’t think anyone would fight this as the top one on our list, Spring Day deserves this spot. Despite a hopeful title, it houses strong emotions of longing and pain. The lyrics always bring the said emotions as the lyrics are about the 2014 Sewol Ferry disaster. However, as the song progresses, you’ll hear the faint hope starting to bloom.

Despite its lyrics based on the unfortunate disaster that happened, Spring Day is a power ballad that can relate to all its listeners still. The powerful 보고싶다 which translates to “I miss you” is powerful enough, along with BTS’ vocals to convey what the song’s message is. If you haven’t heard this yet, you should listen right now to this BTS masterpiece.

That’s it for our list! BTS’ discography houses more songs you may want to listen to so check it out!
