BTS Album “Proof” Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200

Bangtan Sonyeondan (Hangul: 방탄소년단), popularly known as BTS, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the album ‘Proof’.

The South Korean pop boy group adds another chart-topper, making it their sixth. Their anthology album ‘Proof’, released on June 10, gets 314,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., according to Billboard. BTS bags the most U.S. sales week of a group album in 2022, and the second biggest overall next to Harry Styles’ album, “Harry’s House.”

The Billboard 200 chart places the biggest albums of the week in the U.S. Units counted are album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

BTS ‘Proof’ Album

BTS’ Proof is a 3-disc CD consisting of 35 tracks for the digital platform. On the other hand, an extended 48-track album on physical CD. BTS releases 3 versions of the Proof anthology album. The version includes 1) Standard Edition, 2) Compact Edition, and 3) Album Set (Standard + Compact). You may purchase the physical album on different platforms.

BTS and their Anthology Album, Proof

The first and second CDs house BTS’ hit songs from their debut year up to the present.

  • The second disc has a new track titled “Run BTS”, with several sub-unit and solo songs.

Four days after the release of ‘Proof’, BTS’ anthology album, the group announced an indefinite “hiatus”. HYBE, formerly BigHit Corporation, announced that the group is on no hiatus, yet will be focusing on solo activities, as group activities are yet to be planned. BTS started in 2010 and quickly baited their first Billboard chart appearance in 2013.
