Beyoncé’s childhood home engulfs in fire on Christmas day
Beyoncé‘s former home situated on Rosedale Street caught fire at around 2 AM on Monday and trapped the current residents inside. The family of four included a couple and their two children, who rushed out of the house as soon as they detected the fire and alerted the emergency crews.

One of the videos by the local media outlet is going viral on social media. It captures the frightening flames engulfing the second story of the house while the emergency officials work to control it.
The Fire District Chief Justin Barnes praised the officials for doing their best and taking control of the emergency within 10 minutes. The crews were also praised for daringly entering the premises from the roof to control the fire via the attic.
What caused the fire?
The fire department and family are yet to confirm the details of how the fire erupted. One of the speculations is pointing toward the Christmas Tree, which is notorious for causing fire emergencies during the year-end holidays. While many netizens believe it was allegedly done by someone on purpose.

Beyoncé is also yet to comment on the incident. She was reportedly in Malibu for Christmas when the incident occurred. Although the star no longer resides at her childhood home she has often expressed her emotions for the home and the area.
The house is also considered one of the most attractive landmarks among tour guides for the amount of tourists it attracts every year. Unfortunately, the home will have to go through some serious renovations to return to its original glory.

The house was purchased by the star’s parents in 1981 for $64,000 as per the New York Times. Beyoncé was born and raised here until she was five and later shifted to another home. However, she continued to spend her childhood and teenage in Houston.

She also recently returned to the place while filming her Renaissance documentary and called it a great place to raise a family and talked about visiting AstroWorld as a child. It is tragic that the place which gave so many good memories to the singer got damaged in a fire and became a scary memory for its new residents.
