Boruto Manga Part 2 release dates are here and it's not Boruto Shippuden (1)

Boruto Manga is easily one of the leading titles among the new-gen anime. Earlier this year, the manga went on a hiatus but the hiatus is coming to an end very soon. The release dates are here along with a new title which is not Boruto Shippuden. Wait what? A sequel to Boruto but it’s not Boruto Shippuden? Yes, you heard it right.

The new title is Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Read on to know what the title means for the manga along with release dates and additional information.

Part 1 of Boruto Manga came to an end with chapter 80. The manga ended with the whole village turning against Boruto. Only with Sasuke by his side, Boruto has a lot to deal with. The end of Part 1 reminds one of the original Naruto where we saw him going on a journey with Jiraiya. The chapter also showcased the growth Boruto has undergone since the beginning.

We get introduced to him as Naruto’s son, who doesn’t empathize with his father, and understandably so. His relationship with Naruto got better over time. By the end of Part 1, we see Boruto acknowledging Naruto’s struggles along with Kawaki’s.

Boruto Manga will return on August 20 with part 2. The title will be ‘Two Blue Vortex’ which might be a reference to the Uzumaki Clan. The manga will resume its serialization with the V-Jump Issue #10. Usually, one can relate a Rasengan to be a blue vortex as well. While Chidori is also sort of a vortex in some sense, but it’s more of a whorl of electric energy swriled into the palms of one’s hands.

There is a lot of ambiguity surrounding the return. Will it be a direct time skip? Will the manga pick up from where it left off? While there’s no definitive answer yet having one will be a spoiler technically. We still have some leaks hinting that we might have more screen time for Sarada in Boruto Manga part 2.

No Boruto Shippuden?

Boruto is following a similar pattern as the original Naruto series. We had the original end and then the continuation, Naruto Shippuden. Boruto seems to be going down the same path with Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. It’s not surprising that we’re not getting Boruto Shippuden but the new title might be signalling a few things:

  • Along with a new title, losing the ‘Naruto Next Generations’ part of the original title might be referencing how far Boruto has come, and now he’s no longer just a successor to Naruto but carving a name for himself.

  • The title Two Blue Vortex is undeniably a reference to the Uzumaki clan and Kawaki and Boruto. As we know part 2 will essentially be moving towards the showdown between the two boys.

Conclusion

The manga might start with a few chapters laying the groundwork for the time skip and the final fight between Kawaki and Boruto. We might also get to experience the story from the perspective of Sarada. It’s also plausible that Boruto won’t return anytime soon. We’ll never be able to stop if we go on listing the possibilities. So let’s get our definitive answers with the return of Boruto on August 20!
