Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered On PC Is Always-Online
2019’s Modern Warfare came with Activision’s always-online DRM that requires you to stay connected to the internet all the time. Even while playing the single-player campaign. Activision is doing the same thing with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on PC.
Console versions, PS4 and Xbox One, will work fine without an always-online internet connection. The PC version, however, requires an always-online internet connection, Battle.net desktop app, and an account.
The remaster has improved textures, animations, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and much more.
If you have a PS4, you can get the game right now for $20. The PC and Xbox One versions arrive on April 30th, as Activision has kept the game a timed-exclusive for the PS4.
