Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow | All Fireflies Location (Achievement) + Alternate Ending

Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow features a collectible in the form of fireflies. Obtaining these achievements not only unlocks an alternate ending but also provides a deeper explanation of Griffin’s story.

Train Ticket Achievement

This firefly is found in your bedroom. Find the plug located next to the door and connect it. This action will start the train toy and a firefly will be released, unlocking the first achievement.

Vinyl Achievement

• In the next room, go upstairs and pick up Birly. Toss him up the broken stairs and instruct him to drop the ladder for you.
• Take note of a photo on the wall and a small table with a box next to it. On top of the box, you’ll find a vinyl record. Carry this record with you to the next room.

After a brief cutscene, pick up the vinyl record again and place it on the phonograph in the room’s southeastern corner. Doing this will unlock the second achievement.

Train Achievement

• For the train achievement, grab the yellow train carriage from Birly and attach it to the purple one. This will release a firefly and unlock the third achievement of the game.

Armor Head Achievement 

• This achievement is found in the library puzzle. What you need to do is push all the pedestals.
• The firefly is found inside the vase closest to the library door. It will keep transferring to the next one, so you must destroy all the vases.
• The firefly will eventually glide toward the next room and you must push the armor rack to get the Achievement.

Glowing Jar Achievement

The next Achievement is found in a secret cave after crossing the log. Just pull the wooden cover and head inside. Grab the glass container and break it to release the firefly.

Torch Achievement:

See that spider egg on the left of the first track? Squish it!

Airplane Achievement:

Before you leave the windmill, grab that airplane toy on top of the building and throw it out the window!

Shattered Gem Achievement

Before you proceed to the giant gate, take your new companion back to the western part of the map. Command her to shoot at the power source. Grab the cube and place it onto the train console for an achievement.

Flower Achievement

Head north past the broken pathway. You will see a target on the right side of the broken cart. Command your companion to shoot so the basket of stone will fall and break the wood covering a secret area. Interact with the flower to get the achievement.

Painting Achievement

Before you jump back down, make sure to grab the painting behind the wooden box. You will see where to place it precisely, found on the statue’s right side.

Swing Achievement

Before reaching the Toy Factory, you’ll find a swing on a tree branch. Birly will sit on it, and you can push him to get an achievement!

Drawing Achievement

• After completing the symbol puzzle on the machine, head west and time your jumps accordingly. Pull the metal cover off the vent and enter the room. You will see that familiar red cloth again.
• Open the cabinet door to release one of Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow’s fireflies and unlock the achievement. Go back to the east and take the elevator up. It is marked with a red light so you wouldn’t miss it.

Bottle Achievement Guide

This firefly is found near the smelting factory. Grab the furnace door on the east of the elevator. This should spit out a few items, including a red valve switch.

Take it and return to the western part of the map, near the ladder where you came in. Place the valve switch there and turn it off.

Go west and jump across the pipes to find a firefly for the Achievement.

Lighthouse Achievement

• Once you cross the area after the shadow puzzle, head to the west and grab onto the hook. This will take you to a secret location and a mini puzzle. Once you finish this, you will get the last firefly and achievement of the game. Congrats!

Alternate Ending

After finishing this game, go back to Chapter 1 until you reach the second bedroom. You’ll be able to access a secret door that shows the alternate ending of the story.
