A Dying Light 2 DLC? Bring It On!

Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s developer, Techland, is working extremely hard and wants to make the game to be more interesting. Due to insistent public demand, Techland will be adding new content to the game – its first major DLC (Downloadable Content).
Dying Light 2’s lead designer, Tymon Smektala teased about what the DLC has in store for the players. In an interview WCCFTech, he confirmed that the DLC pack will not be a continuation of the lore, instead, it will be run parallel with the main story. In line with that, Smektala is also confident that the upcoming expansion will “surprise” the fans soon.
“This is something that we want to do with the post-launch support. We want to surprise people,” Smektala said during the interview. “We want to create an emotional anticipation for our players. ‘What will they drop next?’ The plan is to not make the content too formulaic. The idea is that every new one should surprise you, should feel fresh, should feel new because we feel this is the way to engage players.”
“I’ve read some of our community’s speculation but haven’t seen a correct theory yet. So I hope that we will positively surprise with this DLC, ” added Smektała.

There is still no official release date yet for the first major Dying Light 2 DLC. Furthermore, Techland has not shown to the public any progress, announcements, or whatnot. One not-so-clear detail they’ve given is that the new expansion could begin “as soon as Aiden arrives in town”. What could this possibly mean?
Dying Light is arguably one of the most sought open-world zombie apocalypse games. As a result, its first two entries both became hits in the gaming industry. To put things in perspective, just a month after its release, Dying Light 2 has already sold 5 million copies.
