EA adds new first-time ever features to FIFA 20 career mode
EA has revealed that for the first time in the series, FIFA 20 will let you create both male and female managers for the Career Mode.
The changes will allow the player to choose not just gender, but also hairstyle, skin tone; as well as customise outfits and equip accessories.
This is one of a number of substantial new changes coming to the FIFA 20 Career Mode – which has remained relatively untouched for many years.
In a statement, EA revealed its plans to “breathe new life” into the FIFA 20 Career Mode by introducing dynamic press conferences, updates to player potential, and more in an effort to build a “variation of ever-changing stories that would surface to our players through pre- and post-match press conferences and player conversations”.
One of the biggest updates to FIFA 20 Career Mode is keeping up morale within squads, meaning you’ll have to rotate your starting 11, managing player requests and wage expectations; as well as shortlisting transfer targets. Responses in press conferences will also matter and could affect players morales, adding more emphasis and adding realism to the mode.
In addition, managers will also be able to talk with players via a “messaging app-like interface,” where they’ll have to deal with all manner of requests from players – both negative and positive.
In its statement, EA wrote: ”The manager will have to find ways, either through direct actions or by communicating his/her stance in order to mitigate and solve these situations.”
The new career mode features are not the only introductions, EA says it has enhanced the physics of the ball to be more realistic.
FIFA 20 is set to be released on September 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC Windows and Nintendo Switch platforms.
